I'm a fan of Wella ColorTouch for toning, but I also really like Goldwell Colorance in 10P because it's reliable and predictable. However, lately I've been gravitating toward Paul Mitchell Flash Finish because, well, it's fast. If you ask a client what particular shade of blonde they want and they answer "I don't care, just make me blonde", then I reach for the Flash Finish.
Over the past few years though I've attempted to break myself of the habit of automatically reaching for a cool toner. I think my New Years resolution for 2016 will be to go a whole year without using a single tube of 10P or 7N. Maybe I'll talk people into using something like a 9G for their highlights. I don't care if people freak out about being brassy. Poor gold series... always sitting there on the rack gathering dust.
